I received these Goody Spin Pins in my Influenster Beauty Bloggers VoxBox. When I first saw these in the box, I thought they were weird Alien contraptions. I admit I was pretty freaked out and wondering what in the heck Influenster had sent me. However, I read the instructions and they seemed pretty simple to use. Pull your hair together into a ponytail, make a kind of a bun, and spin in one of these into the top and one underneath making sure not to connect them. It actually works, and works well! The first time it was kind of loose because I did it willy-nilly and fast. However, it held for hours. The second time I made an "official" ponytail and made the bun again, and it was tighter, and it held even better. Can I just say, I LOVE THESE THINGS! I wish I had known about them sooner. I used to use chopsticks back in the day, but it was rough on my hair because you had to do a twist kind of thing. These things are gentle and I love the twist. It is actually fun and takes no time at all. Without the rubber band for the pony, I doubt it would damage your hair at all.
LOL, this was my first attempt at a picture on my first bun. It was pretty difficult. Since I was by myself. :-D.
Here is my second bun, and hopefully a better picture. my hair is on the shorter side, so it doesn't stay perfectly in the bun. My hair stays out of my face, and that is all I care about.

Not too bad, right.......UNTIL......
Ok, kind of did not nail it. I am just going to tell you now, FAKE EYE LASHES SUCK! Ok so I have never used them before, but they were too short, looked super fake, and didn't bend or attach. Who wants a caterpillar on their eyes. I am sorry, everyone likes different things, but the idea of fake eye lashes makes my skin crawl. I love mascara and would rather just use that. This was just a fail for me. Sorry, nothing against Kiss. I love their other products. Their Nail Dress' are amazing. That is as close to nail art as I get.

This is the compact I got in my Influenster Beauty Bloggers VoxBox 2012, it is NYC Limited Edition Dark Shadows. I think the colors are pretty and if I knew how to do a smokey eye it would be perfect. I tried using this on my eye but it was a hot mess, so I am not showing you that. Usually I just go simple with a light dusting of green, brown and a light color....really simple. Hardly noticeable. This compact is awesome because it comes with a primer, which I have never thought of buying, and I will definitely use, and an illuminator. I guess if I want to go for a shimmery look I can use the illuminator. There are four colors it reminds me of an ombre. :) They do go on pretty smooth and only rubbed off a little with force as I tried to get them off.

Okay, bear with me, I have never swatched eye shadows like this before, and two were really light. They were also a poop to photograph. However, this is an accurate representation of how they look on my skin. If I were to buy one for myself, I would by one with a green in it.

Bath & Body Works Fall Mini Candle

Beauty Bloggers Voxbox Bath and Body Works Mini Candle

Essential Facts: Highly fragranced candle exclusively developed and tested by our team of Home Fragrance experts, including the world's best master perfumers. Made using the highest concentration of fragrance oils, an exclusive blend of vegetable wax and lead-free wicks for optimal performance

SPOTTED: Mini Candle 2 for $5; Small Candle $10; 3-Wick Candle $20

About this Product: The candle I was sent: Mahogany Teakwood—The scents of fine woods-mahogany, cedarwood and oak – highlighted by delicate lavender and geranium notes conjure up an escape to a cozy library on a chilly fall day.

Buy in stores at Bath and Body Works or Online @

I got Mahagony Teakwood in my Beauty Bloggers VoxBox 2012, I dont know that I love this scent. It says that it is supposed to remind you of reading books in a library, but it reminds me of some guy's cheap cologne. I will still use it because I like candles but it will be at my fiance's house. I went to the store to use my $10 coupon and BBW has a THANKSGIVING candle. OMG it smells like mashed potatoes. I almost died. It was so horrible. To each their own I guess. I guess if you are alone on Thanksgiving, eating fast food you can light that candle.

These are the three candles I did buy and I fell in love with them. Twinkling Night, which is heaven, and Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin, I love everything Pumpkin. My boyfriend got me 2 Frosted Gingerbread for my Birthday. I am so in love with BBW candles. He is in love with Marshmallow Fireside and bought like 60 mini candles. There are just so many I want, and the Holidays seem to be the best time for scents.
Also, my boyfriend when he bought my birthday present got the limited and amazing, which I will never burn, Pumpkin Carving. It is the best thing ever! These really are so much better than Yankee Candle.
Just a pretty picture of me burning my mini candle by the window. I love how that looks. It is also so calming and reminds me of the holidays.

As Always Much Love,

<3 Holly

Influenster Beauty Bloggers Vox Box 2012

It is that time again, another Voxbox. This box is Influenster's Beauty Bloggers Voxbox 2012. It is filled with tons of beauty goodies.
These are the awesome goodies. There was a set of Goody Spin Pins, Kiss Ever Pro Lashes, Vita Bath Fragrance Mist, Not Your Mother's Kinky Moves, NYC Eye Shadow, EBoost Energy powder, and a Bath and Body Works mini candle. I was so over-whelmed with everything. I am so excited to try all these wonderful products. Some I have used  before and others are new to me.
Kiss Eyeshadow Limited Edition in Dark Shadows $4.99 for compact. Contains Primer, Illuminator, brush and four ombre colors.
Not You Mother's Kinky Moves Curl Defining Hair cream $6 for full size. This is for taming your curls. Contains Jasmin and Grape seed. I dunno that I can use this. I have straight hair. :(
EBOOST energy powder $28 for box of 20. I will try this, but I am not so sure. These things remind me of Alka-Seltzer.
Bath and Body Works mini candle these are usually 2 for $5. I got Mahagany Teakwood, it smells ok, it is a little strong. It is not my favorite of the hundreds of smells that BBW has, but I still like it. I also got a coupon for buying the LARGE candles for $10 each.
Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin $7.29 for the set, when I first saw this I that OMG what the heck is this thing! So I am a little wary of using this, but I will definitely experiment.
Kiss Ever Pro Lashes $5.99 for the starter set. Well, all I can think is that this is going to be a mess. :-/
VitaBath Fragrance Mist comes in 16 scents and is $9.99 on their website VitaBath. I got In Bloom and smells like Ivy and Lily. I really liked it. It is really strong so you only need a little. But, I like it.

Zoya Ornate Winter 2012 Collection Review

It’s time to celebrate... so make sure you celebrate in style!

The NEW Zoya Ornate Collection is the perfect to decorate your nails with stunning jewel tone colors and special effect pigments this season. Featuring six stunning, glittering, crystal shades in our new Power Pigment Full Coverage Formula. Superior coverage and dynamic color in one. All in the long-wearing, toxin free (BIG5FREE) formula you love... Each one is as beautiful as the next.

(ZP642) -  Holographic Tinsel Special Effect- wear it alone or layer it for extra drama
Label Shot of Electra
Two Coats of Zoya Electra, Bar Holo Glitter
It was very difficult to get the glitter to stay laying down and to keep within the nail bed. The formula was also a tad thick. However, I really like this polish. Holographic bar glitter is soooooooo Christmas.

(ZP644) - Gold Foil Glitter Crystal - Featuring Power Pigment Full Coverage
Ziv Bottle Shot
Zoya Ziv, two coats, 1 coat out the door
Such a pretty metallic gold
I had an easy application with Ziv. However when I added the top coat, it looked like it bubbled or got bumpy. So, I don't recommend a top coat with this metallic. Love this color. It reminds me of Christmas ornaments we put on our tree.

(ZP647) - Green Foil Glitter Crystal - Featuring Power Pigment Full Coverage
Zoya Logan, 2 coats, 1 coat out the door

Logan Bottle Shot
Logan was a breeze to put on, especially with the awesome brushes. I love this color it is such a beautiful deep green with an amazing gold-ish glitter/shimmer. Another thing I loved was that it did not stain. Several of the Fall Zoyas stained, but the Winter collection does not stain.

(ZP645) - Black with Multi Color Crystal Shimmer - Featuring Power Pigment Full Coverage
Zoya Storm, 2 Coats, no top coat
Storm Label Shot
Beautiful black with mini holo glitter
I usually have a hard time using black nail polish, so I try to avoid it, but this one was really rather easy to put on. It was a glitter and not a creme, so that could have made a difference. It is amazing, I am sorry, but HOLO MAKES EVERYTHING AMAZING. I do not like black nail polish, I do not use it, but I could fall in love with storm! It did not stain and was pretty easy to remove.

(ZP646) - Plum with Multi Color Crystal Shimmer - Featuring Power Pigment Full Coverage
Zoya Aurora 2 coats, no top coat
Aurora Label Shot
Such a beautiful berry color filled with holographic micro glitter.
Blurry to see holo glitter
Aurora is definitely my favorite color in the Ornate collection. It reminds me of Girly Bits Razzle Dazzle, just a bit more purple. I have already used this for two manicures and it took forever to chip. For me that is amazing. Usually my manis last about a day.

(ZP641) - Cranberry Glitter Glam Crystal - Featuring Power Pigment Full Coverage
Zoya Blaze 2 Coats, no top coat.
Blurred to show glitter
It looks red with the flash, and it does have a strong red tint to it, however it also has a hot pink under tone to it.
I love and hate this color. It is a beautiful color as is. It is a redder Aurora, so it is amazing, however the sparkle isn't as amplified. My problem was that Blaze was semi temperamental she dried so fast that she kind of glooped on my nails, and the glitter made small clumps. Also, it being a red, it instantly stained my skin. I only got a little off the nail bed and it stained before I could clean up. However, once I did the second coat, the polish dried opaque and even. I guess, it is such a pretty color I can look past the staining. It is still a must have.

Ultra long-wearing, glossy nail lacquers by Zoya are BIG5FREE - all formulas are completely free of harmful industrial chemicals such as toluene, camphor, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin and dibutyl phthalate (DBP) that are known to cause cancer and birth defects.

L to R; Purity Pink, Hopeful Hot Pink, Nurture Nude Pink. As you can see the square lid comes off.
Labels, Purity Pink, Hopeful Hot Pink, Nurture Nude Pink
Left to Right: Nurture Nude Pink, Hopeful Hot Pink , Purity Pink
Three different pinks, Middle finger 3 coats, Ring and Pinky 2 coats.
Nude pink, Bright Hot pink, Sheer Ballerina pink

Pros: Hopeful and Purity were awesome to work with and only took two coats. I don't usually like sheer colors but Purity was so dainty I loved it. It would be perfect for French Mani's. Hopeful, is just my kind of pink, and went on perfectly. I love the bottles and the brushes are pretty good. Hopeful was opaque in 2 coats.

Cons: I hated the formula on Nurture, after three coats I still couldn't get full coverage. I kept getting bald spots, and I hate doing three coats on cremes. They never dry. I am also not a big fan of nudes. They look weird on my skin tone. One other thing that bothered me, is how difficult it is to get the square top off the polish bottles. I struggled with it forever.
